2008 - 2009   Design Engineer : Steel Equipment Systems (SES)

Designed and detailed specialized equipment for the steel industry. Projects included rail cars, quenching equipment, degassing tanks, and steel pipe forming equipment. Designs generally encompassed weldments, hydraulics, electrical, and chain drive systems. We used Autodesk Inventor and AutoCad for drawings and bills of materials. Other responsibilities included print checking, database management, and sectioning equipment for shipping.

2005 - 2008  Design Engineer : JLG Industries (Gradall)

TelehandlerDDesigned and detailed Telehandler prints for the European division. Main duties included the redesign of the operator cab with cost reduction as the main focus. Also worked on telescopic boom, frame, and hydraulic systems. We used Pro-Engineer Wildfire2 for the design work and Intralink as our product data management (PDM) software. Extensive solid modeling for assemblies and pro-surfacing for the complex vacuum molded interior trim panels. JLG is ISO 9001 compliant.

2003 - 2005   HVAC Engineer : Air Enterprises Inc.

Responsible for detailed assembly drawings of custom air handlers. Duties included raw material cut sheets, liquid foam shot times, component placement within unit, routing electrical conduit and steam pipes. Served as engineering/shop liaison to improve efficiencies of both departments. Helped develop company intranet by combining web technology and engineering databases.

1993 - 2003   Production Engineer : Kidron Inc.

Designed and detailed drawings for custom refrigerated truck bodies and trailers. Generated bills of materials for purchasing and production purposes. Created detailed instructions for installing electrical and hydraulic systems. Wrote LISP programs to generate sheet metal flat patterns. Also did estimating and quoting.
